Ask for the exact fragrance, size and product type, then confirm the total including delivery. A paid promotion does not authenticate a perfume.
A perfume name alone may leave important details unclear. A full bottle, a decant and a body mist are different purchases. Use this guide to explain what you want and compare the seller’s actual offer before ordering. Current advertisers include perfume sellers in different parts of Kampala.
Specify the fragrance and bottle
Give the exact brand and fragrance name when you know it. Ask for the bottle volume and the product type shown on its packaging. If you are choosing a gift, explain the recipient’s preferences and your budget without assuming every seller offers recommendations or samples.
- Fragrance name and product type.
- Volume in millilitres.
- Full bottle, tester, decant or body mist.
- Actual packaging and whether it is sealed.
Ask what supports the product description
Request photos of the actual item and ask about the seller’s source and proof of purchase where relevant. Packaging or a batch code alone is not a guarantee of authenticity. A description saying “original” is the advertiser’s claim, not something this platform has verified.
Compare collection and delivery totals
Share the delivery area and ask for the total in UGX, the expected delivery window and who receives payment. Alternatively, confirm the shop or collection point and opening time. Availability can change; confirm stock before sending money.
Clarify the return arrangement before opening
Ask what happens if the wrong item arrives, the packaging is damaged or the product differs from what was agreed. Confirm whether opened items can be returned and keep the order details. Do not rely on a general claim that a scent lasts a certain number of hours as a promise for your own use.
Compare the product you are ordering
| Option | Suitable for | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Full bottle | Buying a known fragrance for regular use. | Size, packaging, source and complete price. |
| Decant or sample | Trying a smaller quantity when available. | Volume, container and who prepared it. |
| Body mist or gift set | A different format or a gift purchase. | Exact contents, sizes and packaging. |
