Measure the space and delivery access
Write down the room dimensions and where the piece will go. Check doorways, stairs and lifts, especially for a large sofa or wardrobe. Ask whether the item arrives assembled and who handles carrying it upstairs. A piece that fits the room can still be difficult to deliver.

Compare materials and construction
Ask the seller to describe the frame or board, upholstery, fittings and finish in the quote. Request close-up photos of the actual item, or visit to inspect it where practical. Separate furniture cost from delivery
Request the complete total in UGX, including transport, assembly and any extra fabric or finishing charge. Check the piece before accepting delivery
